Everybody kept telling me it was going to go by fast . . . and it has!! If anyone figures out how to slow time down, please let me know (unless it is almost Friday - then tell me how to speed it up to 5:00!)

Happy 6 Months Biscuit!! Mommy, Daddy and many others love YOU very much!!!

Worth its Weight in GOLD

God Bless Fisher Price. Seriously.

See happy baby below?? All credit is due to the bouncey chair.

Said baby can be a slight cranky pants at points . . . Can't say that I blame her . . . I'd be cranky too if I had teeth cutting through my gums or an occasional upset belly from a milk/cereal mixture in my ba ba [bottle] or a stinky load in my britches . . . so we try to keep her happy . . . but I tell you what works EVERY TIME . . . the bouncey chair.

Like I said, God bless Fisher Price.

The Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we packed up the Rizzy (4 Runner) and went to Clanton to help Ella celebrate her 1st Birthday at the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch in Clanton, AL. This place was fabulous - so quaint! It had everything I pictured a pumpkin patch would have - a big, pretty barn, hay bales, a covered wagon (for the hay ride) and - of course - a pumpkin patch!! :)

Here are Ada and I enjoying the hayride - on our way to get Biscuit her very first pumpkin. Like a dope, I didn't get a picture of her with said pumpkin . . . but I'll get one of Biscuit next to her pumpkin in her Halloween costume and update you! Rookie Mistake . . . I'm blaming the parent learning curve! :)

Token Family picture . . .

Happy Birthday Ella!!!

Thanks for inviting us - we had a blast!!!

Becoming a Biscuit

Have you ever noticed that so many pet names for children are food?? Pumpkin. Muffin. Honey. Sweetie Pie. Cupcake. Which brings me to our pet name . . . Biscuit. That's right - you read it right. Biscuit.

For a while, we called her every single pet name [including non-food names] we could think of . . . Poor baby was probably having an identity crisis. It seems liked we never called her the same thing twice . . . and Rarely used her real name. Apparently in our minds that would be silly - or too easy. Then one day, out of the blue, Harley called her Biscuit. I cracked up. Then I tried it. Then it stuck.

So . . . Harley, Lynn and Biscuit live at our house. :)

When we feel like adding some emphasis to her nickname, we add "gravy" or taters . . . . it goes something like this . . . "Hello Biscuit, with extra gravy" OR "Hello Biscuit, with some taters". She usually smiles and giggles, but there are those times though where she just stares at us with those big blue eyes. Poor kid!! :) Sometimes life is rough when you're a biscuit . . .

This is Alabama Football . . . .

I love Alabama Football. ROLL TIDE!!!!!

I think that is an excellent way to start this post. :)

We dropped off Biscuit [more on the nickname to come] at Nanny and Pa's and headed to the most fabulous College Football Town EVER! We lucked out and had the most beautiful fall day with bright blue skies, lots of sunshine, and a high in the low 60s. Most importantly . . . the final score was 37-6 . . . another tally mark in the W column for Alabama!! Honestly - PERFECT Football Day. Here are a few pics from the day . . . . hanging out with Friends at The Houndstooth and tailgating!

And . . . related to Alabama Football . . . Ada has started supporting her team. [I may be just using the "Alabama" theme to post pics of the baby.] What can I say?? Gushing parent right here [pointing both thumbs at myself.] Anyways . . . here she is all bundled up in her Alabama hoodie [from Aunt Denise],trying to crawl in her Alabama cheerleading outfit [from Auntie Abbie] and also playing with her feet.

10 days until the Alabama LSU match-up . . . just typing that makes me nervous!! EPIC GAME!!!

Welcome to Le Blog . . .

I have previously tried the blogging . . . which lasted all of 2 posts I believe. . . but this time, I'm sticking with it!! I feel like now that I'm a mommy, I need a place to record the crazy happening at the hizzy . . . and this seemed like a great way to that! Plus, you will get a glimpse into the crazy chaos that is my life! :)

I'm going to strive to update this pretty regularly about all that is going on in Casa de Campbell . . . whether it’s crazy baby stories, crazy cat stories or the home improvement project that we were crazy to tackle!! :)
